Working both as a photographer and cinematographer there are crossovers that occur. Yesterday I wrapped a 4k documentary shoot and had a couple Cinema lenses in the studio. I took the Canon CN-E24mm T1.5 L F & 5D Mark III with me and headed to the Brooklyn bridge. Cinema lenses are three to four times the cost of photo lenses and are manufactured for a level of focus and exposure accuracy that photo lenses are not. The uniformity and sharpness of the still image was very impressive. It was a treat to shoot some stills with the lens before it had to be returned.
